OUTDOOR & LEISURE
For walkers and those who just enjoy being close to nature, The Nightingale Centre is an ideal place to stay.
Set amidst beautiful Peak District scenery, the Centre is a haven of peace and tranquillity.
Get away from it
all!
For the more intrepid outdoor pursuit enthusiast, there are exciting rock climbing opportunities nearby. There are caves to explore and many acres of wild moorland-horse riding is another attractive option.
There is good walking country both from the Centre and within a very short driving distance.
The white dry-stone walls of the White Peak make for beautiful scenery that is unique to this area of Great Britain.
As well as a great place for the more energetic pursuits, the centre is also a really good base for seeking out a wealth of nearby tourist haunts – or just to relax! From time to time the Centre arranges special interest weeks – you can check out what is planned by clicking onto our What's On page.
Accommodation is in well-appointed single, twin or family rooms - some en-suite.
The recently refurbished dining room serves excellent food and our chef, Ann, is always willing to prepare special menus to suit individual groups.
